In the era of digital photography most of us are buying high grade cameras and lenses to get higher IQ images. Sometimes I feel these higher IQ images are too clean and perfect to the point that they lose the character. Images impress you rather than speaking to you.

Like me, if you have worked with 400 ASA films, you must be missing the grains in digital photography. In my dry lab, I try to 'imitate' b&w film grains in my images. It's like imitation jewellery! Close to the original, but not quite. And there's still a long way to go to attain the imperfect perfection.

So people, embrace the grains! :-)

Vishrambaug Wada, a fine mansion situated in Pune city. This mansion was the luxurious residence of Peshwa Bajirao II. Vishrambaag Wada was built in 1807 AD. It took six years to complete the construction.
