On my way back from town (South Mumbai), I stopped at the Girgaum Chowpatty (beach) to unwind. I saw this guy selling paper windmills along with other indigenous toys. He walked the beach but the business was not brisk as he had competition from the cheap plastic toys which seemed to capture the fancy of the kids more than the windmills, busy eating junk food and ice creams. Oh! How things change as the years go by...

I spent my childhood in the country side, not in a metro like Mumbai. We didn't have fancy toys back then. We used to play with home-made toys like paper windmills and run around the village. Another of my favorite toy was a worn out bicycle tyre that I used to run around with a stick.

When I grew up a little, I was gifted a cricket bat and a bicycle. Those were the days...

Very nice shot Abhijit. Very nice composition. I like the way you have used the sun here. If you ask me, you could have gone a little closer to the windmills and have them towards the left of the frame instead of the center.

Beautiful Picture Abhijeet. The sun between those two skyscrapers is very catchy. Again, a very good timing during the sunset. Great image...

Lovely snap! I clicked the same when I visited Girgaum Chowpaty last time - you are right abt the competition - there were colourful plastic planes and neon lighted choppers and what not! Lovely colours of the windmill still attract me more than anything else! Nice photo once again!
