I shot this picture at Mani Bhavan, Mumbai. At Mani Bhavan, adjoining Gandhiji's room is the exhibition depicting Gandhiji's life through mini figures in about twenty-eight tableaux, prepared by Smt. Susheela Gokhale-Patel. These miniatures are behind a glass sheet enclosed in a wooden box. I guess they are made of clay. This is one of those miniatures!
This is a miniature of Gandhiji and Gaffar Khan in 1947. The impending division of the country was a deep source of agony to Gandhiji and Gaffar Khan. Gaffar Khan took a leave of Gandhiji with a heavy heart and left for his home-town in Pakistan. They never met again.
Exif data: 400 ISO, Shutter speed: 1/20 sec, Aperture: f/3.7, Focal length: 15.4mm, No flash fired, Picture shot in ambient light with camera hand-held.
Post-process: Levels, Curves and canvas texture applied.
