Kune falls

Kune falls

On 15th July, 2007 we three HAMs (Amateur Radio Operators) VU2KJM (Kamal), VU3RLP(Abhijeet) and VU2ACX (myself) decided to go to a hill-station and have some QSOs (contacts on air) from there. So we went to Lonavala-Khandala hills.

Lonavala-Khandala is situated between Mumbai and Pune. The best time to visit Lonavala-Khanadala is rainy season, because the beauty of Lonavala-Khandala valley lies in its lush greenery and waterfalls.

This is a picture of famous Kune falls. Kune falls is one of the breathtaking waterfalls in the heart of Lonavla-Khandala valley.

Picture shot with Finepix 9600, at 300mm.

  • Awesome photo, saaheb!!! It's not a waterfall, it is milk-fall! Sundar photo - white+green in rains - and i love the Kune area - it's still virgin, not many visitors to spoil the nature's show.

  • First of all the photo has got the clarity of water, mountain and thick forest. The range (i.e. starting of water fall and till the end) covered is maximum. Are you arranging phototrek. If you do please let me know. Thanks

  • There is a small town near my home in Idaho named Kuna. It is known for it's cave, which is not nearly as impressive as these falls. Thanks for showing me so many things I would have never seen!
    David Tinnon @ 2009-01-13 13:53:06
  • Great entry. Anticipating the next one.
