Early monsoon in Maharashtra! More and more of the lush green emerald rice fields bloom in Thane district. It's a lovely season for green nature photography.

This beautiful rice field is just outside Mumbai, near Vasai. The startling green of the rice fields, the dramatic skies and farmers working in the fields, all have an unusual beauty.
